Bellevue Olympic Day - Ready for Gold Medal Health!

Dr. Bob Cummins and wife, Anna, will step out of their chiropractic clinic on June 23rd to help the Bellevue community strive for gold medal health at Bellevue’s Olympic Day.

World Rowing Champion Dr. Bob Cummins and his wife, Olympic Champion Anna, are passionate about going for the gold.  They don’t have their sights set on the London 2012 Olympic Games, but rather, the June 23rd celebration of Bellevue’s Olympic Day.

“Our vision is to help bring our community to gold medal health and co-hosting Bellevue’s Olympic Day is an awesome way to live out our vision outside of Cummins Chiropractic and Wellness,”  said Dr. Cummins.  As co-hosts to Olympic Day with Crossfit Bellevue, Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness will help coach, lead and encourage all residents who participate in this free community event.

Registration and Opening Ceremonies begin at 10am, followed by the first round of participants to complete a fitness decathlon.  The evening session will begin at 6pm, followed by closing ceremonies, wellness checks, and a community BBQ. Drinks and burgers are provided by Cummins Chiropractic and Crossfit Bellevue.  Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite healthy side dish to share.

If you haven’t run a mile or pole vaulted in a while, don’t let that stop you from joining the fun.  The fitness decathlon will consist of ten different stations, ranging from running to rowing to lifting.  Each station will be scaled to your ability level, so that all members of a family may participate together.  Moms with kids, dads with neighbors, and co-workers of all fitness abilities all teamed together.

As the Olympic Creed states – “The most important part of the Olympic Games is not to win, but to take part.  Just as in life, the most important part is not the triumph, but the struggle. The essential thing in life is not to have conquered, but to have fought well.”

Invite your friends to join us June 23rd at 10am or 6pm to participate in Bellevue’s Olympic Day!
