Husky Hall of Fame: Anna Cummins class of 2014

Congratulations to our very own Anna (Mickelson) Cummins (women’s crew, 1999-2002) announced today by the University of Washington into the 2014 Husky Hall of Fame.  We are so proud of her accomplishments and how she has continued to thrive post-rowing by co-leading Cummins Chiropractic and Wellness to be one of the best chiropractic clinics in Bellevue.

Anna Cummins won a Gold Medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a Silver Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. She is a three-time World Rowing Champion and won three NCAA titles while competing for the University of Washington. Part of Anna’s formula for success was cutting edge health care that maximized her potential. The same health concepts that create Olympic champions, also create healthy moms and dads, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. From her deep well of experience as an elite athlete, Anna serves Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness as a patient advocate, a wellness expert that conducts health workshops and promotes health to the community at large, and day-to-day as the Office Manager. She enjoys her involvement with local rowing clubs, Crossfit Bellevue, the UW, and spending time with her husband, Dr. Bob Cummins (also a Husky Hall of Famer, Class of 2008 with the 1997 men’s eight oar crew), and daughters, Hope and Rose.

More news on this to follow, but join us in celebrating Washington Rowing! Both Dr. Bob Cummins and Anna Cummins have thrived so much because of their involvement with the top of the world program just across Lake Washington.

2014 Class Inductees include Mario Bailey (football, 1988-1992), Ja’Warren Hooker (men’s track and field, 1998-2001, football, 1997-1998), Joseph Kearney (administrator, 1969-1976), Anna (Mickelson) Cummins (women’s crew, 1999-2002), Christal Morrison (volleyball, 2004-2007), Dave Williams (football, 1964-1967, men’s track and field 1964-1967), as well as two national championship squads in the 2008 women’s cross country team and the 2009 softball team.  The class will be inducted Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the 2014 Husky Hall of Fame Ceremony presented by Air Van Moving in Alaska Airlines Arena.  More event details are scheduled to be released in late summer.
